120,000 tons of olive fruit in the country

Javad Mir-Arab Razi stated that: The amount of olive fruit
production in the years before 2020 was about 100 to 110 thousand tons and
added:In 2000 alone, with favorable conditions, 147,000 tons of olives were
produced in the country.
Mir-Arab also added that: According to the latest
agricultural statistics, the area of the country's olive groves is about
93,000 hectares, of which about 64,000 hectares are fertile and 29,000 hectares
are infertile and in the non-fertile stage. He said that olive growing is done
in 26 provinces of the country, and added: Zanjan, Qazvin, Gilan, Fars,
Golestan and Semnan are the major olive producing provinces.
